The Kennels at Goodwood

In the early 1800s the 3rd Duke of Richmond built the grand kennels designed by James Wyatt, in the very latest architectural style, so that his hounds should live in extraordinary comfort, and enjoy both wonderful feasts and glorious scenery.

Today The Kennels is an exclusive clubhouse for anyone who has membership. The Kennels Membership is much sought after and thank fully i got in before they closed their books. It’s a real gem that oozes style and class in a modern, fast paced world where, basic manners seems to be a lost art.

The Kennels is all about enjoying real food in a beautiful and tranquil setting. Inside the superb dining rooms they serve delightfully presented, home-grown, locally produced food, much of which is grown in the grounds in the organic Home Farm. The herbs are picked daily from the walled, kitchen garden, and the chef makes full use of all these local ingredients.

Having been introduced to this venue by a dear friend and subsequently seduced by its charm and character, its a real treat each time we visit. I only wish I could go there more often.
