Haywards at Hurtwood Park

Tucked away in the beautiful setting of Surrey Hills lays Hurtwood Park Polo Club. At its centre is the club house and the restaurant Haywards at Hurtwood which is run by the charming pair Richard Hayward and Caroline Webber.

The Hayward’s at Hurtwood restaurant is open to the public and serves fresh, locally sourced food in the most sublime location.

I am fortunate to have this location on my doorstep and enjoy each visit to the bar and restaurant. We are greeted with happy smiley faces each time we arrive and are made to feel special through the duration of our visit.

The affordable menu takes on any charming pub or restaurant with their famous curry and fish and chips alongside more sophisticated dishes like their pork belly, their magret duck breast with fresh orange and a cointreau infused sauce. Each dish is presented with precision alongside their weekly specials to ensure their is something new to try on each visit. One of the highlights for me is the club’s extensive and expertly sourced wine range and excellent local Sussex ales.

Haywards at Hurtwood has successfully bridged the cap between exclusivity (that is often attributed to equestrian sports such as polo ) and quality food at affordable prices joe public. However for me, when you combine the restaurant, the charming people and the picturesque location you would struggle to find better, so why bother.

I have you not experienced Haywards at Hurtwood yet, give them a call and book yourself a table. The number can be found on their website: Haywards at Hurtwood
