White Burgundy Chardonnay 2013

Well what can we really say about this White Burgundy Chardonnay 2013 other than wow! We saw it on the shelves at Tesco this morning for £6.99 and thoughts lets give it a try and boy I am so glad we did.

This is a delightfully refreshing dry white burgundy. Made from Chardonnay grapes, this wine is bright golden in colour and has citrus and apple flavours, a hint of ripe peach and a crisp, mineral streak.

This is an excellent example of modern white Burgundy, this wine is unoaked and has an emphatically fruit-driven, fresh character. It was made from 100% Chardonnay from the warm Maconnais region in the south of Burgundy. The wine was fermented in stainless steel vats – there was no aging in the barrel – so that the clean, fruity flavours are highlighted. The winemaker was Georges Brichon of Cave de Prisse.

So why not give this a try, you won’t be disappointed.
