On a glorious Saturday morning and watching Saturday Kitchen with James Martin he brought our attention to this Grillo 2013 wine from Marks and Spencers. We thought lets give it a try as we need to head into town to get some essentials for our guests this evening.

Post our weekend shop we picked up this bottle and headed into our favourite cheese shop to stock up on some strong french cheeses for a quick bite at lunch time.

Driving home the glorious smell of cheese in the car we could wait to get back, crack open the bottle, slice the bread and open the cheese. The wine was smooth and floral and went really well with the strong flavours of the cheese.

In-fact the wine went down really easily and far too quickly, its well worth a try and good value at £7.

This Grillo 2013 is full of Sicilian sunshine, its a gorgeous golden wine blended by M&S Winemaker Jeneve Williams which sums up the stylish Grillo grape.

So pick yourself up a piece of summer and enjoy the sunshine.
