As all good evenings end up, its late, our guests and well fed and watered and someone asks for a night-cap. I was given this rather nice bottle of Woodford Reserve Bourbon for Christmas so thought it was about time for a review.

I have to confess that i am a complete Bourbon novice and we were all very impressed with this Woodford Reserve Bourbon. The first taste on the tongue was quite similar to many Scotch whiskeys, but the flavour completely evolves on the palate. Instead of the smoky, sometimes overpowering flavours of a Scotch, you get a delicate sweet finish going through vanilla on to butterscotch As I got closer to the bottom of the glass I found myself liking it more and more.

So I guess I am now a Woodford Reserve Bourbon convert
