The Connaught Hove

At the Connaught Hove their food is home-cooked and made from locally sourced ingredients where possible.

They don’t touch GM produce. Everything is made fresh to order and ther menu changes on a regular basis. They have daily-changing specials and a selection of deli sandwiches every lunchtime for those of you looking for something a bit lighter. They try to offer a good vegetarian selection and many of Their dishes are, or can be made to be, gluten free.

Sunday Roasts at the Connaught Hove – Sundays at the Connaught are probably their busiest day of the week with plenty of people out for a fantastic roast, a Bloody Mary to ease the pain of the night before or just somewhere to meet up for a chat with friends.

Their Sunday roasts are already widely feted – They were voted one of the top five Sunday Roasts in Brighton by readers of The Argus and we certainly saw why

We arrived about midday knowing that the Connaught Hove with its reputation would get bust and found a lovely sunny spot in the garden. Between our party we ordered virtually all of their Sunday roasts on the menu alongside so local brews for the boys and some bubbly for the girls.

The roasts arrived after a sensible amount of time and their signature was quite obvious in their over-size Yorkshire puddings which were crispy on the outside but lovely and soft on the inside. The meats were cooked really well and they came with a generous section of side of roast potatoes and vegetables. The service was attentive and friendly and spend an enjoyable couple of hours under the sun eating one of Brighton finest.

If you fancy a fantastic Sunday lunch down by the coast then you really should be giving this place a try. To find out more visit their website
